How do I use Wordpress?

I recently received an email from an older gentleman who asked me the following question: “How do I use Wordpress?”

I wrote him a brief reply because the topic is much too broad to discuss in a single email.  How can you cover hosting, database, themes, plugins, SEO, eCommerce and such in a single email?  You can’t really - it isn’t possible.  Wordpress alone is worthy of several books.  Add the important topics of themes, SEO, autoblogging, and affiliate marketing into the mix and you’ve got enough reading material to last you weeks and weeks.  Wait!  That’s not a reson to throw your hands in the air your hands and quit now.

So where do you start?  What information do you need and what can make it easier to understand?  Well unless you enjoy buying and reading all the various printed books on the subject I suggest you check out a good video series that will boil all that reading into easy to understand “How-To” lessons.

One such series is Matt Wolfe’s “The Wordpress Classroom” which is a set of videos that cover just many important aspects of using Wordpress.  Those 50+ videos of Matt’s cover a lot of ground:  Here’s what you get:

  • 8 videos about installing Wordpress
  • 9 videos for tweaking performance
  • 11 videos on adding new features to Wordpress
  • 5 videos on content for Wordpress
  • 9 videos on the subject of traffic generation
  • 7 videos on successful cash generation techniques
  • 5 videos on advanced blog editing and tweaking

It would take you weeks to glean from books what Matt has put into his clear, concise and easy to watch video series.

The fact is that thousands of people start blogging and marketing with Wordpress every year.  It’s a fact that most of them quit soon after installing Wordpress because they haven’t a clue what comes next.  Thanks to Matt’s collection of videos you don’t have to fumble your way in the dark reasearching on google and going nowhere on the information superhighway while everyone else is blogging and making money in the fastlane.  Matt’s course will bring you up to speed on Wordpress and Monetizing Blogs Fast!

You’re probably wondering if spending $1.25 per video is actually going to be worth your money and you should.  There are alot of people ut there on the internet selling snake oil and nobody wants to be one of the people who buys into someone’s get rich quick scheme.  Matt thought of that and he has you covered with a 60 day 100% money back Satisfaction Guarantee – if you’re not happy you get your money back.  That’s as good a deal as it gets and it’s a much better value than buying all the printed books that cover the same material at a much higher cost.

So if you’re new to the web and the field of blogging for cash then you need to look into Matt’s video collection to get up to speed fast.  If you’re already in the market and want to blog better, faster and for more cash then you can probably learn a thing or two from Matts tips and tricks too.

  • UNLIMITED DOMAINS
  • UNLIMITED SUBDOMAINS
  • UNLIMITED STORAGE
  • UNLIMITED DATA TRANSFER

Both Windows and Linux Planes offer shared SSL certificates or installation of your own SSL certificates in case you need security.

For building simple websites you can use the free SiteBuilder application or for more complex applications you can install Wordpress, osCommerce, phpBB, Joomla, SugarCRM, and any of the 30 or so free OpenSource applications from the EasyApps collection with just a point and click.

There is generous support for FTP access and even anonymous FTP access you can manage through the professional control panel.  Did I mention the unlimited email accounts that are available to you or the web based file manager for those times when FTP is too much work or the free logging and statistics reporting via Webalizer?
